RICHARD A. MOSQUEDA (He/She/They)

is a queer, Latine Director & Producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Richard is passionate about thrilling new plays , genre-defying theatrical events, and interactive audience experiences. He is attracted to plays that are richly poetic, epic in nature, structurally ambitious, and magical. Their work celebrates and empowers the LGBTQ+ community with an emphasis on Latine/x stories.

He has directed and developed work for New Conservatory Theatre Center, Shotgun Players, Portland Center Stage, Theatre Rhinoceros, Halcyon Theatre, Pipeline Theatre Company, TheatreFIRST, and Custom Made Theatre.

Richard was formerly the Artistic Producer for Marin Theatre Company and a Co-Founder/Lead Producer for Epic Party Theatre in San Francisco, which is currently on hiatus. They have been the Director in Residence for New Conservatory Theatre Center, a two-year recipient of the National New Play Network’s (NNPN) Producer in Residence Program, and a member of SDC Foundation's 2017-18 Observership Class, where he observed Tony Award-Nominated director, Leigh Silverman.

He is a graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago.
